I started hunting at an early age with my family. My paternal grandfather and my father were big influences welcoming me into the hunting fellowship. We primarily hunted dove, duck, turkey and deer. It was not until later in high school that I learned about the family connection with training bird dogs. My maternal grandfather trained English pointers for field trials and bird hunting. I gained more of my exposure to upland hunting with my mentor, Thom, and instantly got hooked to this amazing sport. This is where our family of bird dogs came from. I love watching my dogs work and when other people enjoy them.
